We go above and beyond to create experiences for our high school senior portrait clients that they will NEVER FORGET! So, we are very proud to introduce our brand new Beach Life Session! No one else in the Midwest offers anything quite like this:
3 hour beach session (available as either a day trip within Indiana or as a 3 day round trip flight experience to/from Florida)
This fall, we have two amazing senior women — Claire and Sharon.
Claire Hegge is a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School and she LOVES photography! Claire is highly motivated to pursue her art and is mad skilled at conceptual photography.
“I’m not exactly sure where the interest began, I just use to play around with a little pink digital camera that was gifted to me around the age of 12. When I quite literally used that camera to its death, I was then upgraded to my very first Nikon. It was the best gift I’ve ever received. I really enjoy shooting portraits in general and my main passion is conceptual portrait photography. My biggest inspiration is Kirsty Mitchell, and her amazing series Wonderland. My biggest dream is to be able to sell and display my art work across the country and maybe even the world. I would love to create a book full of my work and with things such as behind the scenes as well, similar to Kirsty’s Wonderland book. I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Shadowlands this semester! I hope to learn and grow so much as a photographer and person.”
Sharon Kim is a senior from Blackhawk Christian. She is interested in photography itself as well as editing and marketing. This is her first internship experience and she’s eager to learn more about her dream job and to experience what it’s like.
“I am the daughter of two missionaries, Edward and Hia Kim. I was born in Los Angeles, CA. When I was about two years old, I moved to Fort Wayne, IN. This when I learned my first two languages, Korean and English. Two years later, my father packed everything up and we all moved to Nez Ziona, a little bit north of Tel Aviv, Israel, and so by the time I turned five years old, I had fluently learned three languages. When I was little, my mom loved taking pictures of the pretty, exotic flowers they had in Israel. I was fascinated with the old little point and shoot camera that she had owned at that time. And living in Israel, a poor yet rich cultured country, I guess ever since then, I’ve been wanting to become a photographer who can bring help to those people’s poor, yet rich lives. But at the end of my third grade year, my family had gotten kicked out of Israel because of governmental issues, so we moved to Canada, where we’ve lived for two years, then afterwards we moved back to Fort Wayne, IN, where we have lived ever since.”

We will be closed throughout the Christmas and New Years holidays so the deadline to place orders in 2015 is Friday, December 11th.
When her mom contacted me about doing Mel’s Senior Portraits, I was SO excited! I also took her older sister’s senior pics and just love their family! Mel is in the Class of 2010 at Carroll High School.
Her genuineness, spunk and mad dancing skillz made her photo shoot tons of fun! : ) You are a knock-out, Mel! Here are just a couple of my favorite Sneak Peeks. To view the entire gallery at www.ShadowlandsPhotography.biz, contact Mel for the password.
Josh’s senior pics were very fun to take out in the beautiful fresh falling snow! Josh is a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School and will be graduating with the Class of 2010. Here’s a sneak peek of our session!
Though Sam walks the halls of Concordia with a swagger, you’d never say he had an attitude to match it. He is cool, calm and collected…and humble, to boot. Sam’s photo shoot proved he has the ability to not only be comfortable in front of people when playing sports but also when
having my camera in front of his face all afternoon. : ) Thanks for indulging my creativity by exploring downtown Fort Wayne with me for your shoot!
