If you have fancy camera but aren’t sure how to utilize anything but the automatic modes, this is the PERFECT workshop for you! And YES, she can handle DSLR, Canon, Nikon, 35mm, etc. Lesa is not a one trick pony.
This laid-back workshop is a super fun way for you and other fellow photography lovers (4-8 attendees required) to get hands-on, real-life photography lessons. Forget frustrating YouTube tutorials – enjoy time with a professional photographer instead – you will be SO glad you did! This specific workshop is offered a few different dates in 2017.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
Gain a stronger and more confident command of your digital camera by learning fundamental photography techniques including Camera Modes, Exposure, DOF, Composition, Equipment, Lighting, and more.
WHERE WE MEET:
This is a “walking” photography workshop – we will take time to explore downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana with our cameras. Participants MUST be prepared (walking shoes, water bottle, etc.) and physically able to climb steps and walk across varying terrain.
WHO SHOULD COME:
Photography hobbyists ages 17+ (with skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate) are welcome to attend.
WHAT TO BRING:
Attendees must bring a camera (either digital OR film – Lesa is highly skilled in both mediums!) to each day of the workshop. It is worth noting that if you do not yet own a DSLR camera but plan to purchase one, this workshop can help you learn more about the amazing possibilities and power that DSLRs give (over digital point-and-shoot cameras).
If you are a professional photographer (or are wanting to start your own photography business), this workshop is not designed for you – it is designed for people who do photography for fun and pleasure (NOT for income). Lesa DOES offer one-on-one mentoring for those types of needs!!! Contact us for details.
DM us for details or email info@ShadowlandsPhotography.com.
P.S. Final decisions will be made and announced on Monday night at 9:00pm!
P.P.S. If you LOVE photography but are frustrated with your images, REGISTER NOW to attend our NEXT WORKSHOP on April 22nd from 1-3pm, go to https://www.facebook.com/events/1161632553950301/ for details.

This fall, we have two amazing senior women — Claire and Sharon.
Claire Hegge is a senior at Concordia Lutheran High School and she LOVES photography! Claire is highly motivated to pursue her art and is mad skilled at conceptual photography.
“I’m not exactly sure where the interest began, I just use to play around with a little pink digital camera that was gifted to me around the age of 12. When I quite literally used that camera to its death, I was then upgraded to my very first Nikon. It was the best gift I’ve ever received. I really enjoy shooting portraits in general and my main passion is conceptual portrait photography. My biggest inspiration is Kirsty Mitchell, and her amazing series Wonderland. My biggest dream is to be able to sell and display my art work across the country and maybe even the world. I would love to create a book full of my work and with things such as behind the scenes as well, similar to Kirsty’s Wonderland book. I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Shadowlands this semester! I hope to learn and grow so much as a photographer and person.”
Sharon Kim is a senior from Blackhawk Christian. She is interested in photography itself as well as editing and marketing. This is her first internship experience and she’s eager to learn more about her dream job and to experience what it’s like.
“I am the daughter of two missionaries, Edward and Hia Kim. I was born in Los Angeles, CA. When I was about two years old, I moved to Fort Wayne, IN. This when I learned my first two languages, Korean and English. Two years later, my father packed everything up and we all moved to Nez Ziona, a little bit north of Tel Aviv, Israel, and so by the time I turned five years old, I had fluently learned three languages. When I was little, my mom loved taking pictures of the pretty, exotic flowers they had in Israel. I was fascinated with the old little point and shoot camera that she had owned at that time. And living in Israel, a poor yet rich cultured country, I guess ever since then, I’ve been wanting to become a photographer who can bring help to those people’s poor, yet rich lives. But at the end of my third grade year, my family had gotten kicked out of Israel because of governmental issues, so we moved to Canada, where we’ve lived for two years, then afterwards we moved back to Fort Wayne, IN, where we have lived ever since.”

We will be closed throughout the Christmas and New Years holidays so the deadline to place orders in 2015 is Friday, December 11th.
